At last year’s Stena Match Cup Sweden, women’s racing was left out of the event because of the tight schedule between the World Cup in Gothenburg and the Olympics in London. This summer, the Women’s Trophy is back at Marstrand and the women’s elite will once again compete in one of the most prestigious match racing regattas in the world.

The first Team Hydros C-Class catamaran took to the water at La Grande Motte for its maiden voyage. This is the first time a vessel using TPT carbon fiber technology, the latest development in composite materials, takes to the water! Kieler Woche - High-level action on the horizon

The 2013 Kieler Woche is set to take place from 22 to 30 June, with about 4,500 sailors from 50 nations crowding the waters of Kiel Fjord. Medals will be fought for in eight Olympic sailing disciplines, among them the two new Olympic classes 49erFX for women and Nacra 17 for mixed crews.

In the 2013 Route des Princes, racing with the whole MOD70 fleet in close contact for periods today, Yann Guichard and the crew of Spindrift continue to lead Leg 2 as they passed to the east of the centre of the depression and have been enjoying fast downwind sailing, slowed only by the confused, difficult seas.

The ISAF World Sailing Rankings for 17th June 2013 have been released with Austrian sailors storming up the rankings to match Australia with four top three positions. At world number one, eight nations are now represented with Australia's Mat Belcher and Will Ryan unbeaten, again. In the 49er class, the French have claimed both the number one and number two spots.

The World Speed Sailing Record Council (WSSR) has announced the establishment of a new World Record by Kito De Pavant (FRA). Pavant sailed singlehanded Monohull 60 foot 'Groupe Bel' from Marseille to Carthage.
