CMC Marine took part for the first time in the Superyachts Technology Show & Conference in Barcelona, a two-day event dedicated entirely to companies operating in the superyacht industry and its main players: captains, brokers, owners and the media.

Company vice president Pietro Cappiello was a speaker at the event on a panel discussing innovation in the yachting market and stabilization systems for superyachts.

The Superyachts Technology Show & Conference held last week in Barcelona was an immersive event dedicated to the superyacht industry, new technologies, the changing market and future developments. The various in-depth workshops led by industry professions were interspersed with opportunities for networking. Organised by the Superyacht Technology Network, which has a mission to spread information and organise events about technology in the superyacht industry, the event featured industry speakers and technology experts from around the world who provided valuable contributions based on their in-depth knowledge of the sector, along with a unique perspective on the future of the industry.

It is therefore no coincidence that CMC Marine, which revolutionised the yachting world with its introduction of electric stabilization systems, was invited to take part in these talks, with company vice president Pietro Cappiello speaking on the panel set up to discuss "Innovation: matching market needs and technology offers. Innovating the marine sector and discussing superyacht stabilisation".

Another source of great satisfaction for the company was the growing interest shown in electric stabilization linked to increasing awareness of the issues around sustainability, which has long been a key value for CMC Marine.

The company's vice president said: "In recent years, the subject of excellent marine stabilisation has been attracting ever greater interest on boats of various sizes and types. In the field of superyachts in particular, research is under way into innovative new solutions that can deliver the same results in a more compact form factor and above all with reduced consumption. That is why an event like the Superyachts Technology Show & Conference is one our company cannot afford to miss, because it can not only contribute to a constantly evolving debate, but also identify new insights for the development of new products. This type of event, with a programme involving not only speakers but also numerous opportunities for networking, encourages direct contact and an exchange of ideas with captains, crews, shipyards, designers and other professional figures."

The exclusive event was attended by an audience carefully selected by the organisers, including over 400 invitees, plus sponsors, exhibitors and 150 VIP guests (among them captains, owners, yacht designers, and managers of leading shipyards worldwide), as well as representatives of the media and leading companies in the industry. The two exhibition areas - the Innovation Lab and the Engineering Room - with an outdoor area reserved for electric products and green technologies, provided opportunities for attendees and exhibitors to meet and talk.

CMC Marine took also a stand to the event, where visitors were able to explore the issues covered in the talk with the help of a virtual reality headset offering an immersive experience set on a virtual bridge to demonstrate the benefits of perfect stabilisation.
