The International BoatBuilders' Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) announced today the launch of its Online Experience. Kicking off the IBEX Online Experience will be the Industry Breakfast and Innovation Awards Presentation taking place Thursday, October 20th at 10:30 a.m. EST.

Advance registration is required to attend the Industry Breakfast and Innovation Awards Presentation. The Industry Breakfast and Innovation Awards Presentation will begin with a welcome by Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director, followed by a State of the Industry Address by Frank Hugelmeyer, NMMA President. The event will conclude with the announcement of the IBEX Innovation Awards, presented by Zuzana Prochazka, Judging Chair, Boating Writers International.

The Online Industry Breakfast and Innovation Awards Presentation is sponsored by AWLGRIP North America, Interlux Yacht Finishes, Protomet Corporation, Sea Hawk Paints, Tides Marine Inc., and the Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF).

"Although we missed having a live IBEX this year, we are happy to be able to connect the industry with our new Online Experience," said Anne Dunbar, IBEX Show Director. "The annual Industry Breakfast traditionally kicks-off IBEX and this week it will kick-off our Online Experience, which we have been able to transition to an online format. While we can never replace the connections and camaraderie the in-person IBEX facilitates, we will continue to provide the marine industry a 365/24/7 resource to learn about the latest new products and innovations being offered this year by our exhibitors to keep our industry informed and moving ahead."

The IBEX Online Experience includes the Exhibit Hall with access to exhibitor lists, new exhibiting companies, Specialty Pavilions, and new trade routes added this year. Innovation Way will showcase Innovation Award entrants and winning products, with interviews from award winners coming soon. A Special Events section will include links to register for and access recordings of the Industry Breakfast and Innovation Awards presentation, and upcoming content like the keynote speaker Jack Uldrich, and the NMMA Special Session Next Generation Marine Propulsion Systems and the Path Forward.

Several seminars from the Education Conference are being hosted online and currently include: ABYC's So You Want to Build an Electric Boat: Will You Comply?, the NMMA's What Can Boatbuilders Expect Regarding Issues and Regulations in 2023, and Professional BoatBuilder magazine's Refining Performance Hullforms. More seminars will be scheduled this winter.

IBEX 2023 is scheduled to take place October 3-5, 2023, at the Tampa Convention Center. Owned and produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and RAI Amsterdam, IBEX is North America's largest trade event for marine industry professionals. Be sure to watch for emails and the IBEX social media pages for more to come with the IBEX Online Experience.
