We are pleased to announce Beneteau and Lagoon Catamarans have been awarded several prizes in 2022 Asian Marine & Boating Award Ceremony on 16th September in Shanghai, China.

The event aims to give credits to those brands that have shown noteworthy achievements over the past year by offering three award opportunities, namely The Boat Industry Brand Annual Award, Watersports Promotion Annual Award and Environmental Pioneer Annual Award.

Hosted by the committee of China Shanghai International Boat Show, the gala dinner brought together a diverse group of nautical leaders including boat brands, manufacturers, industry professionals, media and so on, adding the relevance to this glamorous occasion.

Beneteau

Beneteau won double accolade at the ceremony-The Boat Industry Brand Annual Award and Watersports Promotion Annual Award.

The panel of jurors has honored Beneteau with The Boat Industry Brand Annual Award to recognize its contribution to naval industry in China market. Starting from 2005, the brand has put a great attention in Asia Pacific market by setting a regional office which was firstly located in Shanghai, and then relocated to Hong Kong. This initiative has also resulted in an extensive dealer network in the region, enabling a higher service coverage to final customers. Currently, there are six dealers in China, covering all the major coastal cities, such as Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Sanya, Shanghai, Qingdao and Dalian.

In addition, through the Watersports Promotion Annual Award, the organizers would like to encourage brands that has constantly shown efforts in elevating the watersports lifestyle in China market. Active participation in boat shows, constant communication of new launches, keen support in sailing events, like China Cup, Beneteau Cup, have been the key for Beneteau to gain this award, as told by the judges. With a mission to create an empowering culture for owners, Beneteau will continue to invest in marketing activities, including Beneteau Cup which will soon be held in Hong Kong on 29-30 Oct, 2022, owners' rendezvous and fishing contests that helps to uplift the sailing lifestyle of the region.

"I would like to thank the organizers of CIBS for supporting us and the industry. And of course all our owners for being in the adventure. From fishing contest to sailing regatta, Beneteau and its partners are always committed to finding new ways to entertain and promote the yachting culture." - Erwan HER, Beneteau Sales Director, Asia Pacific

Lagoon Catamarans

Lagoon Catamarans has been awarded the Environmental Pioneer Annual Award which was a newly set-up for this year in response to the global trend gearing towards a sustainable development. The jurors were deeply impressed by Lagoon Catamarans for its use of new sustainable raw materials. Over the years, the brand has been undertaking various moves in minimizing negative impacts to the marine environment, from sourcing, product design, production to communication activities.

In terms of sourcing, the new Lagoon 51 is built using eco-sourced raw materials with wood from FSC-certified forests and the upholstery from recycled materials.

The eco-responsible solutions are also available on board thanks to the heavy investment for hybrid propulsion solutions and XXL-sized solar panels on the coachroof of Lagoon 51, delivering almost 3,000 Watts of energy for the onboard service needs.

What's more, green production for Lagoon Catamarans is guaranteed as the two production facilities in France are certified with ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and ISO 14001, ensuring efficient use of energy and careful waste management.

When it comes to the communication, the initiative to partner with Escape to Nature and Anima Mundi, who are sharing the same green vision, has revealed the brand's determination in preserving our dream destinations, a cleaner marine environment, for the next generations.

"We would like to thank you so much for this recognition because sustainability is a great cause that Lagoon has been pursuing. We are pushing hard to reduce our footprint on the planet and this award means we are on the right path." - Guillaume ANDREBE, Lagoon Sales Director, Asia Pacific.
