Viking 64 - Off to battle

Four of the first seven Viking 64s are competing in this week's White Marlin Open (WMO) - a testament to this model's fishing prowess and Viking's continued domination of sportfishing yachts from 60 to 70 feet.

Three of the four are sporting our new Nardo Grey gelcoat and custom tuna towers from the Viking subsidiary Palm Beach Towers, including the 64 Oil Slick and the 64 Big Oil.

All four 64s are equipped with the latest fishfinding technology, including omnidirectional sonar, and custom navigation, communication and entertainment packages from Viking's Atlantic Marine Electronics. Their battle-ready business ends boast teak-clad cockpits anchored by fighting chairs. The Viking 64 Polarizer, which features a Blue Tone White gelcoat, is the current demonstrator boat for the authorized Viking dealer South Jersey Yacht Sales (SJYS). The three other 64s featured here were, in fact, sold through SJYS.

The 64 is offered with five engine packages from three different engine manufacturers - MAN, Caterpillar and MTU. A pair of 2025MHP CAT C32B engines power the Viking Sea Flame, while the three other 64s are powered by twin 2002MHP MTU M96Xs. The owners of Sea Flame, Big Oil and Oil Slick are certainly not new to the Viking brand. In fact, Rick Levinson's Sea Flame is his sixth Viking (and he owns a Valhalla Boatworks center console).

With four staterooms and three heads, our Viking 64 has the accommodations to keep a full crew comfortable. The salon features an open layout with a walkway that extends in a straight line from the salon door all the way through to the forepeak, heightening the sense of depth and space. The interior features horizontal natural walnut throughout, available in a hi-gloss or satin finish.

Good luck to our 64 fleet, the Viking 80 demonstrator boat and all the rest of the Vikings competing in the WMO! For more information about the Viking 64 or any of our yachts, please contact your authorized Viking dealer.
