  • New England Boat Show, February 16 to 20, New England Bow Thruster Booth 421

With a full line-up of SG series units now available for global distribution, Smartgyro is stepping up its ambitious U.S. growth strategy by strengthening the supply chain and dealer network, creating a strategic base for stocking units in Baltimore, MD, establishing local sales support and investing in a strong presence at key exhibitions in 2022.

A busy show calendar will raise the company's profile at several events this year. This week, Smartgyro is showcasing its SG20 gyro stabilizer at Miami International Boat Show on YANMAR Booth MB1514. Meanwhile, visitors to New England Boat Show can see the SG40 and learn more about Smartgyro's four-model range through dealer and installer New England Bow Thruster on Booth 421. Smartgyro will also have a presence at other U.S. shows including Wharf Boat and Yacht Show in March, IBEX in September and Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October.

Smartgyro is developing new collaborations with several marine refit and installation specialists, adding to current partners: Gillen Yacht Services, Florida; New England and Carolina Bow Thruster, Connecticut; Kilker Boatworks, Alabama; Parts and Power, BVI.

A new Smartgyro U.S. Sales Manager will also be confirmed in Q1, ensuring a closer connection to the local customer base for the most efficient service and support, while also building market presence and brand awareness.

Meanwhile, to strengthen its links to the U.S. sport fishing community, Smartgyro is supporting this year's 3rd annual MONGO Offshore Challenge as the Exclusive Gyro Sponsor.

Pieter Feenstra, Sales Director North-Europe, APAC and America, Smartgyro, said: "In 2021, we expanded the Smartgyro range of gyroscopic stabilizers with two key product launches - the SG20 and SG60. This means we can now meet the needs of the U.S. boating community with units for vessels up to 80ft, with full confidence that our innovative stabilizer solutions offer exceptional advantages. In line with the development of our range, it is the right time for Smartgyro to reinforce the infrastructure in the country and step up our commitment to invest further in developing our network, supply chain and support for customers. A strong foundation ensures we can smoothly increase sales and installations in the U.S. and globally, with demand for stabilization continuing to rise."

Smartgyro's SG series of gyro stabilizers, the SG20, SG40, SG60 and SG80, provide design benefits and advanced roll reduction technology for a variety of vessels in the 30 feet to 80 feet range. Innovations include a revolutionary modular mechanical design which enables the compact stabilizers to be assembled directly inside the boat and serviced while onboard, minimizing time spent on maintenance. The SG range also features cutting-edge developments within the control electronics, braking system, liquid-cooled system and vacuum enclosure to maximize roll reduction, performance and efficiency.
