Until September 7th, when Naples will host the fourth stage of the sailing event "Marina Militare Nastro Rosa Tour 2021", a sporting event wanted by Difesa Servizi, SSI Events and the Navy, with the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia as the organizing club of the stage Neapolitan.

After having reached Civitavecchia and Gaeta, the Figaro Beneteau 3 offshore ships, the Diam 24 trimarans and the kite foil, departed from Genoa on 26th August to make a sailing tour of Italy, and arrived in the Gulf of Naples on Saturday 4th September.

The Headquarters of the Navy based in the Darsena di Via Acton, commanded by Captain Aniello Cuciniello, welcomed the crews arriving in the "Race Village", where sailing enthusiasts and more can visit, until 7th September, the beating heart of the event and meet the sailors who took part in the "Navy Nastro Rosa Tour 2021". It will also be possible to discover the "sea of opportunities" that the Armed Force reserves for young people, with exciting proposals for top-level training courses to build a solid professional future.

The Chief Inspector Admiral Giuseppe Abbamonte, Commander of Logistics, and the President of the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia, Fabrizio Cattaneo della Volta, visiting the "Race Village", expressed their satisfaction and congratulations to Riccardo Simoneschi of SSI Event and to the General Antonio Zuliani of Defense Services for the great organizational capacity.

"It takes a lot of passion, great organizational skills and a pinch of recklessness", highlights the President of the RYCC Savoia, "to imagine and successfully complete such a fascinating project, destined to grow. Precisely for this reason the Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia did not miss its support. As the organizing club of the Neapolitan stage, we took care of welcoming the crews and organizing at sea for everything concerning the regattas, from the buoys to the jury excellently led by Francesco Coraggio ".

"Marina Militare and Rycc Savoia, today united in the biggest sailing event of the year with the emerging new sailing classes, are already a winning combination for the next Neapolitan sailing events, such as the Europa Cup of the Laser class next October and the championship Star in the spring of 2022 ", highlights Cattaneo della Volta.

In this occasion of the Nastro Rosa Tour, Naples will also mark the final stage of the "double mixed offshore" offshore regatta with the assignment of the title of European champion at the end of the Tyrrhenian section.

We remind you that the Navy is present in Naples with the Logistic Command and with two naval units that now make a fixed base at the historic Neapolitan pier in Via Acton: the Levanzo ship, a Lighthouse Transport Motorcycle, and the Caprera ship, a Coastal Transport Motorcycle. The Headlights and Signaling Department of the Navy is also located in Naples, which has jurisdiction at national level.
