Whitehaven Motor Yacht has appointed Sydney-based brokerage house, Australian Marine Sales, as their exclusive dealer to Sydney Harbour for the elite, semi custom-build motor yacht brand.

Headed by Jane McNeill and Travis McCurry, Australian Marine Sales has started the relationship with the sale of the latest 6800 Sports Yacht currently under construction with its long-term yacht building partner New Ocean Yachts in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.

"We met Jane two years ago at the launch of the Harbour Classic 40. She had spent several years building up Australian Marine Sales in the recreational boating market with great success and had developed a strong network of customers many of whom are Whitehaven owners," states Mr Bruce Scott, Managing Director of Whitehaven Motor Yachts. "It was clear we both shared a common goal and ethos of not adhering to the well-trodden path and so we set about developing the relationship which we are now proud to announce."

Apart from the formal partnership, Australian Marine Sales will be co-located with Whitehaven Motor Yachts in their new Sydney Wharf Sales Suite and corporate office in Pyrmont.

In the last two years, Australian Marine Sales has expanded into the luxury vessel brokerage market representing vessels over 50-foot. Travis McCurry joined Ms McNeill adding his experience in the industry and significant time operating large motor yachts in Western Australia and in far north of The Kimberleys.

"This partnership has been well-considered and forged over the last two years. Many of my friends and clients had spoken of Bruce's passion and how his infectious enthusiasm draws you in. That was certainly the case here. We then set about forming a strong foundation based on commitment, a world class quality, bespoke product and after sales service," says Ms McNeill.

"We will be working closely together with the Whitehaven production team and the new owners to deliver their new custom build 6800 Sports Yacht due later this year. This new Sports Yacht is an exciting addition to the existing fleet of Whitehaven vessels in Sydney and we are thrilled to welcome the new owners to the family," offers Ms McNeill.

Ms McNeill continues, "We have more demand for yachts than the brokerage market can supply. From the point of view of a prospective owner, you could spend months searching for the ideal yacht in a sellers' market or in just ten short months have your own personalised Whitehaven Motor Yacht."

The Whitehaven Motor Yacht brand is celebrating 10 years of operations and in 2020 built the largest motor yacht to date; an 8000 Sports Yacht. "A decade and 16 motor yachts later, we are still committed to customisation, after sales support and our new dealership will only enhance that." said Mr Scott.

In 2021, Australian Marine Sales will be joining Whitehaven Motor Yachts at the two premiere Australian Boat Shows; Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show in May and the newly revamped Sydney Boating Festival in July.
