If you'd like a cleaner marina, a Seabin can help and there's funding available.
Safe and stable pontoons with water, lighting and other services are at the core of any good marina. But a great marina is a clean marina.
Floating debris and rubbish affect a customer's experience in just the same way as dirty toilet and shower facilities, yet it's often overlooked as the litter typically hasn't originated in the marina.
Inland and Coastal Marina Systems can offer a complete marina solution, ensuring the best possible experience for boaters and visitors to your facility. From durable pontoons with a choice of anti-slip decking options to the plastic and litter pollution fighting Seabin, we provide a one stop shop for a marina's infrastructure.
The Seabin
Marinas have litter bins shoreside, why not actually in the marina? The Seabin is an award-winning piece of technology which acts as a floating rubbish bin. Sitting in the water, it moves up and down with the tide collecting all waterborne waste, creating a cleaner marina for your customers.
Funding
Multiple funding opportunities exist for marinas, harbours and watersports centres that wish to improve the quality of their immediate environment but lack the capital to do so. We encourage anyone wishing to install a Seabin to seek this funding from local businesses, environmental charities and projects in their area. It's surprising how much funding there is out there.
Currently, through the Seabin Project, there's funding available for a Seabin to be supplied and installed somewhere in the UK. If you're interested in applying for this funding, contact Bryan Stewart, our newly appointed Seabin Project lead on .
Of the many Seabins already installed around the UK and Ireland at least 20% have been funded by contributions from other businesses or organisations. Recent examples include MDL's Ocean Village Marina's Seabin, the Seabin on the River Soar, operated and maintained by the Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre, and a fleet of six Seabins at Whitehaven Marina in Cumbria.

Earlier this year, the Leicester Outdoor Pursuit Centre, situated downstream from the city centre on the River Soar, installed its first SeaBin.
