Bayliss Boatworks construction update: Bayliss 27' Center Consoles

by Bayliss Boatworks 7 Jul 2020 15:41 BST

Last year, we began a project that has largely been kept secret, one you may have seen us refer to as our "skunkworks" project.

Commissioned by the owners of Blank Check (Bayliss 75'), we began building two 27-foot center consoles in the late summer of 2019 and this month, they are ready for delivery!

Both boats have faux teak toe rails and helm pods, twin 200-HP Yamaha engines, heavy duty trolling motors, Garmin electronics, and Lumishore underwater lights. Each boat has ample custom storage with rod lockers and transom tackle accommodations. These boats also feature in-deck fish boxes and built-in transom fish boxes.

The first boat features a Palm Beach Towers hardtop, a center console with forward bench seating, and a leaning post with cooler storage. The second boat features a coffin-style center console layout with a forward casting platform and a console fishbox.

We have documented top speeds of 47 knots. You will spot both boats in Florida this summer, closely following the 75' Blank Check.
