2009 Byte CII World Championships |
 |
At the recently completed CII World Championship in Kingston, Ontario, Singapore sailors took the top three positions with Darren Choy the new 2009 World Champion. He sailed an incredibly consistent series in tremendously varying conditions without winning any of the 14 races. Jon Emmett the defending Champion, and also recent UK Laser Radial Open winner, was fourth with six wins but still finished 25 points behind Choy and one point out of third. The series was used by many of the nine countries as a training event for the NA Youth Olympic Games Qualifier to be sailed in Cayman in March 2010. Byte Champs website
