The Volvo Ocean Race hunt for Onboard Reporters for the upcoming edition in 2014-15 has been given a resounding response, with over 1,500 applications received by organisers in less than three months. The Volvo Ocean Race is seeking experienced multimedia storytellers with steady enough hands and nerves to supply video, audio, text and pictures from the oceans during the nine-month race around the world.

According to the high profile and often controversial Australian photographer Nicole Scott, she is amongst those applicants.

Scott established a FaceBook page promoting her application and within a very very short time received absolutely incredible support for her endeavours, with some 95% of her ´likes´coming from the Indian subcontinent.
