Steber International focusses on international trade for future |
 |
Steber International General Manager Alan Steber, has recently returned from a twenty one day international trip where he visited four of the seven gulf countries in the UAE, along with Seychelles, the United Kingdom and European regions. Steber International has been a leader in Australian boat manufacturing and industrial composite technology since 1947. This renowned Australian company are ever seeking more innovative measures to expand and grow globally. Steber recognises Australia’s resilience within the global marine industry. With the Australian dollar being high and its remote location, Australia must ensure our global recognition for quality and back up service is maintained and well recognised. Australia’s good business ethics wins consumer confidence time and time again as ‘Australia down under’ is recognised as a responsible, respected and reliable trading nation. Steber International recognises that it is important for the Australian marine industry to maintain an extensive and strong international presence. 'We (Australia) must keep a strong presence in the region and with a strategic marketing campaign, along with continued presence in the global market which will ensure security and continued growth' said Mr Steber. Alan ensures that Steber International stay a cut above competition on an international scale. 'Servicing our existing clients is just as important as our relationships with new build clients' said Mr Steber. Australia is a reliable trading nation, an example of this can be seen in the significant growth of agricultural exports. Australia’s reputation is excellent in the UAE region, particularly in food. In 2011 UAE beef imports increased by 28 per cent from 5801 tonnes in 2010, with 9,413 tonnes of lamb exports to Dubai and expected growth of food export to increase by 19 per cent by 2014. Alan Steber thoroughly understands the necessity of strong international relationships. His Royal Highness of Qatar owns three Steber vessels and during Mr Steber’s visit he was fortunate enough to meet all three captains and was further delighted by the compliments the captains gave of the boats with no complaints. His Royal Highness is aboard the Steber fleet weekly and intends to expand that fleet. Steber International is developing an exciting business strategy for expansion. 'Oman is a new market for us and with the support of the New South Wales government office in Abu Dhabi, we hope to win contracts within the next 2 years. With continued presence at the Dubai International Boat Show and ensuring we show commitment to servicing the region we should prove successful' said Mr Steber. Mr Steber is confident sales in this region will increase following the appointment of a new distributor. Mr Steber intends to continually follow international trends, having recently advertised in 'Australian Special Report' in the Gulf News. Ever confident in their product, Steber International recognise that business is tough, but very rewarding when your product leaves many oppositions behind. More at www.steber.com.au
