A fresh new look coming to our Bay of Islands Sailing Week Website - and - Bay of Islands Sailing Week is now on Twitter. Sign up to @BOISailingWeek for regular updates about regatta news and preparation. During the regatta we will have lots about the racing as it happens (just for those unfortunates who aren't racing.)

This regatta the bay courses have been revised - our amazing islands are set as turning marks more often; easier for you to see the next mark, easier for us, as we don't have to lay as many buoys…

Let’s talk about our Generous Sponsors:

CRC – for Marine and boating equipment. Manufactures and markets specialty chemicals and adhesives, and has a quality product for most maintenance and repair applications. Meeting the needs of customers with high performance products has made CRC and ADOS market leaders in New Zealand.

NZ Yachting Trust – now commonly known at the NZL Yachting Trust – is an independent trust established in 1988 by well known yachtsman, the late Don St Clair Brown and Sir Tom Clark. The object is to assist in funding expenses for New Zealanders competing in Olympic and other top level international yachting competitions.

North Sails a world leader in sail making for over 50 years; their ongoing commitment is to make racing sails faster, lighter and longer-lasting - focusing on the highest standard of performance and durability. North Sails will be on hand in their marquee to ‘talk-sails’ and fulfill any service requirements.

Harken – recognised internationally furnishing top product for yachts of all sizes. They offer a Spinlock EA series of asymmetric tiller extensions for optimising performance – to offer the most comfortable driving position with a fully adjustable double handed grip. Harken is clearly seen on all our rounding buoys.

Port Opua – has generously made the Opua wharf and boat ramps available to all yachties and the general public. They welcome the yachties to Bay of Islands Sailing Week each year with many special benefits at this superb location. For info on Marina availability go to www.portopua.co.nz. To read about Far North Holdings (FNH) go to www.fnhl.co.nz

Romeyn Woodcraft – designs and manufactures unique trophies for the Bay Regatta, with the winning yacht named on each trophy. A family business established in 1973, Cees and Luke (Father and Son) work together handcrafting original designs from native NZ timber. 2013, this 11th year, will put forward more specialty prizes from Romeyn Woodcraft.

Mt Gay Rum – the yachties favourite. The place of birth was Barbados in 1703, the oldest rum in the world, an icon amongst the race sailing community worldwide. There is such a selection of this fine quality rum available at Hancocks, well worth a look at the website – well worth savouring as an after-race nip. www.hancocks.co.nz

Southern Spars - specializing in the design and construction of carbon fibre spars and components, rigging and rig servicing. Southern Spars built its first carbon spar in 1990, since then the company has pursued a passion for delivering world class cruising and racing spars, carbon rigging - and service. Passion, Design, Technology, Performance.
