On the Optimist World Championship 2012 second day of competition, in the Dominican Republic, no races were held as the tropical weather of the Caribbean was not in favor today. Heavy storm clouds were gathered around the island early in the morning and did not let the wind pass through.
The race committee tried their best to have some racing but after a three-hour, long and tiring, wait in the water decided to abandon all races for today.
Hopefully the weather will be better for tomorrow and the sailors will cover the lost races.
