Sail-World.com : CANSail Dinghy Program launched across Canada
CANSail Dinghy Program launched across Canada

CYA
The CYA CANSail Dinghy programming has been launched and is being offered at sailing and yacht clubs across Canada! It offers learn-to-sail programming delivered to meet updated national standards. CANSail takes the best of the CYA's traditional 'White Sail' programming and aligns it into a progressive pathway of dinghy sailboat handling skills' learning and development.

CANSail sets the foundation for athlete and sailor-leadership development regardless of the type of dinghy being used (single or double handed), all in a fun, safe and active learning environment. A sailor in the CANSail programming develops through six fundamental levels of standard.

Click here to see the CANSail Progress Report - a snapshot summary of the collection of skills in CANSail levels one through six.

CANSail dinghy progams can be found being offered at Recognized CANSail Training Centres in communities all about Canada! A CANSail Training Centre:
• has CANSail Instructors on staff,
• is registered with their Provincial Sailing Association and / or the CYA to receive delivery support services and resources
• flies the CANSail flag

Look for the the CANSail flag with the red sailboat!

One of the CANSail delivery support services is Checklick! Checklick offers an online service designed to support CANSail Instructors and Recognized CANSail Training Centre Schools! Checklick provides:
• Electronic CANSail Checklists for CANSail Instructors
• CANSail Progress Reports for each of the sailors registered in the program
• CANSail certificates for each sailor achieving full standard
• Other online support services such as Online learn to sail program registration
