The 2012 Adelaide Boat Show will feature a diverse and dynamic format to entice more young families into floating enjoyment while exciting more experienced boating enthusiasts and fishers.
The show will be presented by the Boating Industry Association of South Australia (BIASA) at the Adelaide Showground, Wayville from 21 to 24 June.
BIASA General Manager, Glen Jones, said: Last year, the industry’s flagship event celebrated its 50th anniversary with a return to 'familiar waters' at the Adelaide Showground. It was a move that proved popular for members and exhibitors and thousands of people who enjoy boating, fishing, sailing and water sports.
'With our experienced professional partner – Kym Jones Exhibitions – we are building on the success of the 2011 show to present a spectacular showcase of vessels large and small, products and accessories, services and expert advice, seminars and workshops, holiday destinations and entertainment.
'From houseboats and luxury cruisers to family run-abouts, ski craft, kayaks and wakeboards, there will be something for everyone at this year’s show and an opportunity for the industry to present its quality and expertise to focussed consumer audience.
'The BIA is also delighted to announce that boat licence tuition and licensing services will be provided at this year’s show. This is sure to attract many people, particularly those who are keen to enter the boating market.'
Glen said excellent boating facilities around the South Australian coastline and along the River Murray encouraged on-water activities for families.
'The end of the drought has also meant a total refreshment of the River Murray and lakes, along with the beautiful Coorong, and these great fishing and boating destinations are beckoning people,' he added.
'Boating is safe, healthy and environmentally friendly with affordable entry level packages. Little wonder that around five million Australians call themselves boaties.
'We are looking to the 2012 Adelaide Boat Show with a real sense of excitement and anticipation. '
The Show will be open from June 21 to 24 at the Adelaide Showground. Admission prices are $15.00 for Adults, $11.00 for Concessions and Free entry for Children under 15, if accompanied by an adult. With a two for the price of one entry on the Thursday and Friday upto midday.
