Red Bull Storm Chase is a global chase for giant waves and wind beyond storm force 10. Ever dreamt of windsurfing in a prestigious contest side-by-side with the world’s best windsurfers in the planet’s toughest conditions? Stop daydreaming and register now! Red Bull Storm Chase is returning and offers you a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to compete against the Top Guns of wavesailing. No travel costs, no logistical nightmares. Just windsurfing. Anybody – Amateur or Pro – able to handle a 3.0 sail safely is welcome to register now. Just visit the event website and apply to participate before June 28th.

To get one of the 10 tickets for the global hunt of three storms, anywhere in the world, head over to the event website and create your sailor profile before June 28th. The photos and information on your profile will be critical to the expert jury panel, headed by windsurfing legend Robby Naish. They will pre-select 50 for the public online voting taking place between July 2nd and July 15th.

To make it into the top 50 you’ll first have to convince the jury. PWA and Red Bull Storm Chase head judge Duncan Coombs describes what kind of windsurfer is wanted: 'Apart from the top names it’s the soul surfer who throws caution to the wind, goes out in anything and loves a challenge.' So don’t expect just PWA professionals to be listed in the top 50!

Beside the option to register as a sailor you can also nominate your favorite windsurfing spots around the world online and drive the competition to your home country. Red Bull Storm Chase Location Scout and PWA professional Klaas Voget: 'We want to find locations that get frequently battered by massive storms, that offer varied spot options for shifting wind directions and places that don’t get too tricky to predict.' If you have one in mind head over to the event website and suggest it before May 31st.
