Bridge to Bridge Race - Exclusive use of Hawkesbury River this weekend

Bridge to Bridge Race 2012 is being held on Hawkesbury River this Sunday, 27th May. Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of the event.
Maritime Acting Regional Manager Hawkesbury / Broken Bay Hendrik Clasie said boaters should keep clear of the river between Dangar Island and Windsor Bridge between 8am and 3pm.
'This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of the 2012 Bridge to Bridge Powerboat and Water Ski Race,' Mr Clasie said.
'For safety reasons, skippers should avoid this area as it will be restricted for the event and patrolled by control vessels.'
Mr Clasie said vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a Boating Safety Officer or a Police Officer.
