Melges 24 World Championship 2012, hosted by Circolo Vela Torbole, is being held on Lake Garda, Italy from 27 July to 4 August. The Notice of Race has been published and Online Entry is now open.

With an entry of over 100 boats anticipated, including teams from across Europe and as far afield as Russia, the USA, Chile, Japan and Australia, the championship is set to be one of the highlights of the 2012 sailing calendar. As always the fleet will include a host of Olympic, America's Cup, World, Continental and National Champions so the standard of sailing will be as high as ever and competition will be fierce.

Circolo Vela Torbole's reputation for outstanding regatta management is second to none and the International Melges 24 Class is looking forward to returning once again to this much loved venue. With its strong winds, hot sunshine, outstanding shore side facilities and spectacular mountain backdrop, Torbole is amongst the most highly regarded sailing venues on the planet and the Melges 24 fleet is anticipating a truly memorable championship.

The event schedule is as follows:-
Friday 27 July - Registration Opens
Saturday 28 July - Registration, practice races and Gala Opening Ceremony with dinner and fireworks
Sunday 29 July - Registration, practice races and skipper's briefing
