The closing date for applications for the 2012 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export and Superyacht Awards is now upon us. Applications are due by close of business Friday 4th May 2012.

The Australian Marine Export Group organises the annual Australian Marine Export and Superyacht Awards providing a significant platform in which well deserved recognition is given to Australia’s Marine Export and Superyacht Industry achievers. Last years winner Aqualuma Marine Lighting stated 'winning the award has provided significant international profile for our company and has certainly assisted in opening doors in new markets'

AIMEX is expecting a high calibre of award entries and this year is looking to attract the largest number of applications yet.

It is exciting this year to also have two Superyacht Industry Categories in the Awards programme. AIMEX has already received a number of good quality entrants in these categories.

The 2012 judging panel will meet during the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show to discuss and judge the applications. The panel participants includes five key industry identities; Barry Jenkins - a well known marine industry personality, Dugald Anthony – Austrade Trade Adviser, Ian Murray – Executive Director of the Australian Export Institute, John Savage - J.J.Savage & Sons and Ken Evans – previously Mercury Marine and currently working in the industry as a consultant.

Judging is conducted across seven categories including the Exporter of the Year and Superyacht Industry Business of the Year.

• Most Innovative Marine Industry Exported Product or Service

• Marine Industry Export Champion

• Best Marine Industry Export Performance in 2011 (Small, Medium and Large Categories)

• Best Marine Industry Export Marketing Strategy

• Australian Marine Industry Exporter of the Year

• 2012 Superyacht Industry Business of the Year

• Superyacht Industry Champion

The 2012 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Export and Superyacht Awards will be announced at the annual AIMEX networking function on the first night of Sydney International Boat Show, Thursday 2nd August.

AIMEX 2012 Club Marine Australian Marine Industry Awards application forms and further information are available at www.aimex.asn.au. Applications close 4 May 2012.
