His journey started in the Canary Islands on April 2, and ending in Trinidad on May 31, 1998.

A total of 1,651 boats participated in the record breaking achievement on Lake Cumberland,
KY, August 2010. Beating the previous record of 1,453 set on Lake Norman, NC, in 2004.
