HMB Endeavour, the marvelously accurate replica of Captain Cook's famous ship of discovery, is nearing the end of her latest circumnavigation of Australia.
She has provided wonderful adventures for those who sail her and put inspiration and wonder into the history lessons of thousands of school children who visit her in ports around Australia. She's just reached Hobart.

She'll now be on display until April 03, so Tasmanians are expected to fill her decks during her visit, with the opportunity to marvel (probably negatively) at what it was like to be a sailor on board an 18th Century vessel.
Endeavour's latest circumnavigation is a voyage of some 13 months. She left Sydney last April and has so far gladdened the hearts of tall-ship lovers in Brisbane, Gladstone, Townsville, Cairns, Darwin, Geraldton, Fremantle, Bunbury, Albany, Port Lincoln, Adelaide and Portland.
The three-masted tall ship has 16 professional crew and can cater for up to 40 additional people on board. Her last voyage just completed from Portland, took just 10 days.
