Notices to Mariners issued for Southport pilotage area

Maritime Safety Queensland has issued the following notices for the Southport pilotage area:

Locality: Southport Broadwater, Marine Stadium
Activity: Hazard to navigation removed, aid to navigation withdrawn from service

Refer to notice: 982 (T) of 2011

Mariners are advised that the unlit special beacon established to mark an underwater obstruction in position latitude 27° 56.5488' S, longitude 153° 25.35.06' E has been withdrawn. The obstruction located at the north western end of the Marine Stadium has been removed.

Locality: Mermaid Waters, Lake Wonderland
Activity: Aids to navigation altered

Mariners are advised that the two special mark buoys Fl Y 2.5s, established in Lake Wonderland as speed advisory signs to assist in identifying the existing 6 knot speed limit, are now unlit. Only the lights have been removed and the two buoys remain in position.

• Position of buoy one: - latitude 28° 03.2853' S, longitude 153° 25.4042' E
• Position of buoy two: - latitude 28° 03.4600' S, longitude 153° 25.3728' E
