Maritime Safety Queensland have announced a bank slippage occurrence in the Brisbane pilotage area. Mariners are advised that a bank slippage has occurred from the southern bank of the Brisbane River in Quarantine Flats Reach. Mangroves and sand have been pushed up to 80 metres into the river, approximate position latitude 27° 25.1' S, longitude 153° 08.65' E. Surveys are being completed of the land slip area and yellow special marks will be laid to mark the area. Mariners should navigate with extreme caution when operating in the area.
