'Yacht: Navigation in the ocean of leisure' at Xiamen Boat Show

'Wuyuan Bay, Xiamen'    China (Xiamen) International Boat Show
The fourth China (Xiamen) International Boat Show will kick off at Xiamen’s Wuyuan Bay from November 4 to 7. Themed with 'Yacht: Navigation in the ocean of leisure', the show will continue its routine of various activities. This year’s event, thought to be the best one in China in recent years, will showcase a different ocean feast as well as a brand new luxury lifestyle and theory.

With the ongoing berth expansion project from 236 to 300, Wuyuan Bay Port Deck is ready for the show. Once ready, the large number of berths will highlight this year’s show.

The construction of the deck started from 2007 and the first phase displayed about 56 plastic form fixed berths and 30 mooring berths. After it was finished, many yachts nearby came to moor at the deck. It also held many yacht events successfully like China (Xiamen) International Boat Show and Sailing Boat Challenge Games. It also helped boost the local real estate industry and yacht-related products. Until now, there are about 150 boats at the port, which is beyond the port’s capability. So Xiamen Luqiao Yacht Developing Company will continue to invest in the construction project to solve still-existing problems like the shortage of berths (especially for large yachts), few land-connection channels and the absence of key facilities for boats’ landing and refueling.

Phase II expansion has built 236 yacht berths, including the large, medium and small berths for 60-80 feet boats, 40-60 feet boats, and boats below 40 feet, respectively. The extra two lifting yacht berths, three special diesel fuel berths and two terrestrial channels are also built to improve the whole quality and comfort of the port.

The construction of the 236 berths will no doubt mark a huge improvement of Wuyuan Bay Yacht Sailing Pier in building China’s largest water yacht exhibition. It will also attract the exhibitors with its tremendous charm.
