Australians Robert Douglass and Nicole Douglass have regained the lead after day 3 racing has concluded at the Tasar World Championships being sailed at Torbay in the UK.
After nine races, the reigning world champions hold a two point advantage of fellow Aussies Paul Ridgway and Bronwyn Ridgway. Craig Mcphee and Gillian Berry (AUS) are third.
Great Britain’s Malcolm Davies and Fiona Davies are now back in sixth place.
Race 7 of the series went to the Douglass’ followed by Michael Quirk and Jeffrey Robinson with Paul Ridgway and Bronwyn Ridgway filling third.
Craig Mcphee and Gillian Berry took Race 8 from the Japanese duo Hiroaki Sato and Yasuaki Muragishi. Richard Longbottom and Darryl Bentley (AUS) finished third.
Longbottom and Bentley sailed well in Race 9 to take the win from Robert Douglass and Nicole Douglass. Craig Mcphee and Gillian Berry were third.
With a second drop now in play, the Douglass duo have dropped their worst two results, 15 and 12.
The Ridgways are sailing consistently, dropping 5 and 6, and are pressing the Douglass’ for the lead.
