Australians performed well at the 2011 World Laser Radial Senior Championship- La Rochelle, France 16th-23rd July.
James Burman (Australian sailing squad member/ Macquarie University) finished second at the 2011 World Laser Radial Senior Championships, just one point separated him and eventual World Champion Marcin Rudawski (Poland). This is Marcin’s third World title in a row and James came very close to dethroning him at this year’s edition.
Tristan Brown (Curtin University) finished fourth and narrowly missed out on making it to the podium. The two Australian sailors will be aiming to notch up similar performances in laser class at the 2011 World University Summer Games to be held in Shenzhen, China in August.

The following sailors have been selected to represent their country for the 2012 Olympic sailing competition Test Event being held in Weymouth, Great Britain from 31st July to 13th August.
