Australian Schools Team Racing Championship 2011, hosted by South of Perth Yacht Club on the Swan River, is being held from Thursday July 7 to Sunday July 10.
Three schools, St Josephs from South Australia, and Scotch College and Christ Church Grammar, both from Western Australia, have each scored 10 wins after two days of competition.
Christ Church Grammar, the defending champion school, had headed the leader board at the end of day one, but today was displaced by both St Josephs and Scotch College as club officials completed 14 rounds.
In fourth place overall, with nine wins, is another local school, Shenton College, with nine wins. The Hutchins School from Tasmania, has slipped from third overall on day one to fifth place. The Hutchins has had eight wins, as has St Michael’s College (SA).
The Friends School (Tas) has dropped from fourth to seventh overall with seven wins after two days, followed in rankings by Iona College (Qld) and St Michael’s Grammar (Vic), which also have had seven wins each.
Placed 10th overall after 14 rounds is Geelong Grammar (Vic) with six wins, followed in standings by Cranbrook School (NSW), also with six wins.
Haileybury College (Vic) has had five wins to be 12th overall, the Scots College (NSW) has had three wins while Moreton Bay College (Qld) got off the mark today with two wins.
