In announcing the appointment of George Wolff, the CEO Of Gippsland Ports Nick Murray said that George brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the Paynesville Boat Yard.
'We’re very fortunate to have George on the team at Paynesville,' Nick Murray said.
'In a boat yard, experience is everything. And with 40 years working in the marine business at virtually every level, George has seen and solved most problems that crop up at Paynesville.'
'George is a real asset to the Gippsland Ports operation and our customers.'
In his capacity at Boatyard Foreman, George Wolff provides direct and valuable support to Peter Bull, who manages and oversees all five boat yards within the control of Gippsland Ports.
From organising staff, overseeing the workshop work, the quality of work produced by the boat yard, through to managing tradies who come on site to perform work.... and everything in-between, George Wolff has key responsibility.
Prior to commencing with Gippsland Ports, George has lived and worked in Sydney and the south coast of NSW. George’s wife Leeann is from Lakes Entrance, so it seemed inevitable that they would at some time head back to the Gippsland Lakes.
'We bought land at Swan Reach and intend to build a new home there. This is a wonderful waterway with a fantastic mixture of commercial and recreational boating,' George said.
'There is so much opportunity here at the Paynesville Boat Yard. All the marine trades and services are really catered for, providing a support network for boaters which is absolutely first rate.'
