After one year in development, BarzOptics is launching 'The Floater' at this year's Sydney International Boat Show, before taking it and its diverse range to the US for the show circuit there.

According to Kevin Barr, this innovative new model is made of dual-moulded TR90 a hybrid frame material and a matt finish silicone, which is added in the moulding process, making them very sturdy with a long life-span.
'And they can be fitted with prescription lenses, with an additional floating leash.'

As Kevin explains, The Floater goes above and beyond the brief. 'A lot of sunglass companies say they have a model that will float, and it will in the shallows or a bath. But once surface tension is broken or there’s the slightest bit of chop, they sink to the bottom. Ours are tested in rough water and prove they float in all conditions.'

The Floater comes with about six different lens options and will retail for $80 to $230.

'They are ideal for all water sports - kite surfing, fishing, sailing, surfing - they suit anybody who is out on the water,' states Kevin.

The launch will be Sydney International Boat Show, where BarzOptics will be at stand 701 on the Promendade, with an extra 50 products on display and a longer display presentation.

Then in September, Kevin is heading to the Newport Rhode Island Show, followed by the Anapolis Sailing Show in October. 'The US is a great challenge for us. Our unique product and innovation put us in a good place. We are the only company that has price points across the range and offer different types of lenses.'
