The 18 foot A-Class Catamaran is a state-of-the-art carbon fiber sailing machine. Weighing in at a mere 165 pounds (75kg), it provides fast and furious sailing action in even the lightest winds. Many renown sailors plan to compete in this year’s event including current seven time World Champion and Ronstan Team Sailor, Glenn Ashby, and other high profile sailors including Steve Brewin and British sailors, Chris Field and Bob Baier.

Recognizing the opportunity to showcase their latest technological advancements, Ronstan has agreed to be title sponsors of this year’s event. Ronstan Marketing Director, Bryn Wellington said, 'Our involvement with cutting edge racing classes is worldwide and goes back for years. Ronstan’s products and image are a perfect fit for these high-tech cats. We are thrilled to be a major supporter of the event.'

Established in 1967 as a development racing class, the A-Class Catamaran has enjoyed a recent resurgence in international sailing circles driven by hot new designs and very active fleets.

Ronstan International, based in Melbourne, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of winches, hardware and accessories for sailing with offices in Australia, Denmark, USA and UK backed up by a world-wide network of distributors.
