2012 blokart World Championships - Entries Now Open

Online entries have opened for the 2012 blokart World Championships to be held at Ivanpah Dry Lake, USA in April next year. So far entries have been received from Spain, Australian, New Zealand and The United States, with sailors from many more countries indicating their intention to enter.
Racing will be conducted over a mixture of course styles, ranging from traditional yachting courses like windward - leewards through to some fast action trapazoidal courses. With target speeds of around 18 to 25 knots upwind and 35 to 45 downwind, it is easy to see why the class has been refered to as the Foiling Moths of land sailing. Combine this with the one design, level playing field and you get super fast, close quarters racing.
The 2012 event has seen the introduction of some new trophies, with the addition of a Junior and Senior prize, and a Teams event where teams of three compete to estabilish the best club, country or group.
All the defending champions from 2010’s world championships have indicated that they will be returning, along with a number of new faces who are showing promise at national events around the world.

North American Championships: US$90
World Championships: US$200
Combined Entry: US$230
