Platu 25 World Championships started the first race of the day around 9.30 despite in a lot rain and bad weather. A weak breeze started blowing from the North West leading the race Committee to attempt the first race start.

The fleet took to the water at 9.30 finishing the first race around 11.30. Yesterday, it was not possible for the race to take place so understandably, the sailors began to get impatient.

After an attempt at starting, the first race saw a shift in the wind and the Committee decided to make a course change. The fleet started with winds of 6-8 knots that were constantly changing which made attempts at racing quite difficult.

The fourth day of the Platu 25 World Championship started with the Austrian and German revenge. After a Spanish triumphal parenthesis, today, in the first race, the podium speaks just German with two Austrian teams on the podium.

The first position went to 'Falkone' helmed by Falko Knabe followed by AUT 99 'White Pearl' helmed by Michael Farthofer. The Austrians were leading the last downwind when they had issues with the Spinnaker. They eventually had to complete the race using the Jib which caused them to lose precious time, allowing 'Falkone' to pass them. The third position goes to AUT 286 'Damaris' helmed by Guenther Prummer.

All the Spanish boats decided to start on the bow and chose the left leg which was the better one, only two minutes before starting the race. However, the wind changed and those who had chosen the left leg, came up short. After this race was completed, a lot of changes occurred in the overall rankings. That of course, is except for the Italian 'Euk II Monella Viziata' which is helmed by Sandro Montefusco who maintained the lead with an eight point barrier of distance from the second.

This caused the rest of the podium to change completely. Now in second place, there is the German 'Kyra' helmed by Lars Baher, followed by 'Falkone' helmed by Falko Knabe which are The Spanish boats that have been ousted from the podium. 'Bribon Movistar' helmed by Marc de Antonio is now in the fourth place spot followed by the Italian 'Nanuk' which is helmed by Luigi Ravioli with the talented Lorenzo Bressani as a tactician.

At 12.30 there was the second start, however, the Committee had to stop the race at half upwind due to irregularities.
Tomorrow will be the last day of the World Championship and Montefusco has an eight point advantage on the second placed boat. There will be a passionate fight among the Germans 'Kyra' and 'Falkone' and the Spanish 'Bribon Movistar'.

Overall ranking after seven races:

1 – ITA 243 EUK II Monella Viziata 4 2 4 2 10 21 8 points 30
2 – GER 63 Kyra 1 5 20 3 7 15 7 points 38
