Kite Course Racing World Championships attracts international fleet

With only a little less than one month to go until the first competition day of the 2011 Kite Course Racing World Championships in Sylt, Germany, and 60 of the worlds finest course racers from 23 nations representing five continents have already registered so far.
The event will be held from June 27 (registration day) till July 3rd (prize giving) and offers a 15000 Euro prize money fund as well as important points for the world ranking.
Registrations are still coming in and the remaining slots are filling up quickly. All eyes are set to a tight battle between the pre-dominant North American competitors from the past years and the strong European fleet, more used to the conditions on the windy little island in the north sea. Also some interesting entries from South America pomise to make racing very interesting.
