ISAF Sailing World Cup preparations update from Mathew Belcher and Malcolm Page.

After a couple of weeks rest in different parts of the world we will shortly re-unite in preparation towards the fifth round of the ISAF Sailing World Cup. As some of you might have seen on facebook we had a few trailer issues on our way back to Hamburg. We arrived back safely and in time after spending a few hours parked on the side of the road. The trailer is being repaired and hopefully ready for our departure. I am currently in a small town in southern France, called Gourdon with my parents while Malcolm and Victor back in Sydney.

Over the next few days we will depart for Holland and join the European tour again. We will compete in the final three ISAF Sailing World Cup's concluding at Kieler Woche at the end of June.

Although our performances were less pleasing that we had hoped over the past two World Cups, we look forward to getting back to the top. We feel more on track and hope to continue our momentum into the next round. Thank you for your wishes and support from many of you.

On other news, we are happy to announce that the 470 dinghy has been retained for another Olympiad (Rio 2016) in both the men and women's division. Malcolm and the international 470 Class representatives have spent many hours and time away campaigning to ensure the future of the class. This is a great outcome for the class and the future of Olympic double handed sailing.

The latest World Cup and World Rankings have been released. We have slipped down to second place overall in the latest World Cup standing to the inform French crew of Pierre Leboucher and Vincent Garos. However we have maintained our World number one ranking. You can view the current standings on the websites below.

Thanks again for all your wishes.
