Following their partnership in 2010 on a 60 metre motoryacht, Asia’s leading superyacht builder Ruea Yachts has once again teamed up with Design Unlimited and naval architects BMT Nigel Gee to extend the concept into a 75 metre version.

The new motor yacht will be optimised for blue water cruising with features including extensive covered outside areas that flow easily and naturally into the spacious interiors. This is important in south Asian waters where the tropical climate allows for year-round cruising amid wonderfully warm conditions. In these circumstances the exterior spaces form an integral component of the living space, and need to combine comfort and amenities with protection from the overhead sun.
Another design element that is favoured by yacht owners in the region is the helicopter landing pad that retracts into a dedicated hangar at the stern. With frequent, short breaks a popular way of taking leisure time in South East Asia this gives the owner and his guests easy and convenient access to and from the yacht at all times and wherever its location.
The accommodation extends across three decks with the owners stateroom complete with studio and balcony on the main deck along with the main saloon, a guest double with bathroom and a cinema. The lower deck has four further en-suite double guest cabins, plus the galley and crew quarters comprising eight twins and a double for the chief engineer.
Above the main deck the wheel house deck includes a sky lounge and the Captain’s cabin and office, together with the bridge. Finally the sun deck has a plunge pool / Jacuzzi, sauna and gym, alongside extensive seating and sun lounging areas.
Ruea Yachts maximises the renowned skills of Thai craftsmen and their ability to hand-build internationally-certified yachts to the most demanding client specifications at highly competitive prices.
Ruea Yachts’ Managing Director Gareth Twist said he was delighted to release these designs following the Sanya show in April 2011 and they are already in discussions with some potential owners.
'We have been operating for ten years under our parent company Yacht Solutions and are absolutely thrilled to be working on this innovative 75-metre superyacht under our new build brand - Ruea Yachts,' Mr Twist said.
'The project is ideally suited to our facilities, experience and expertise and we look forward to producing a stylish and unique superyacht – that will not only bear the owner’s hallmarks but set a new benchmark in terms of quality and design for yachts in the region.' Mr Twist said.
The 75 metre will be built by Ruea Yachts at their facilities in Thailand.
