Summer Universaide 2011 - Yachting Australia has released information for sailors wishing to compete at the event to be held in Shenzhen, China, from 11-23 August.
To be considered for selection, all athletes within the nominated crew must have fulfilled the following conditions by 30 March 2011. Those athletes who have met the below conditions may submit an expression of interest to Yachting Australia prior to 8 April 2011.
Athletes must be a current member of Yachting Australia and have demonstrated national and international level performances in the past 12 months in their respective class.
Racing will take place in the 470 with men, women or mixed crews, Laser Standard men, Laser Radial women and RS:X for men and women, with each country able to enter two boats in each category.
The event will also include a Team Racing event, in the 470 class where one team is made up of two boats, the Laser Radial where a team is made up of three boats and the Techno 293 windsurfer where a team consists of two boards.
Application forms can be found on the Yachting Australia website and include Athlete Expression of Interest form and Certificate of Academic Eligibility.
