JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff Championship - Follow online with live tracking

JJ Giltinan 18ft Skiff Championship - For the first time in the 74 year history of the Championship, followers from anywhere in the world can see the famous flying machines live, as they contest the 2011 Championship series on Sydney Harbour.

All you have to do is visit the race tracker and you can see the action in person from your computers at home or in the office.

This new concept to the 18s has proved to be a great success with 6,000 visitors already recorded so far – including 1,000 for yesterday’s sensational Race 3.

Australia, USA, UK and several countries throughout Europe are heavily featured on the statistics and the numbers are sure to increase over the remaining four days of the championship.

Mark Brown, from ‘The Australian Big Boat Racing Team’ took the time to let the Australian 18 Footers League know his opinion: 'Just wanted to drop you a quick note and say how much I appreciated the tracker for the JJ. Watching yesterday’s race was almost as good as being there'

'Stuck in the office I was cheering at the screen on the final lap. The quality is way beyond expectation. I was zooming in and able to see skiffs luffing each other on the reach and watch tactics unfold up the last beat. Make sure you tell those using it to zoom right in on the action for the full effect'.

'Love it!'

With three different winners from the three races sailed so far, the championship is developing into a 'down to the wire' finish so don’t miss a minute.
