CIBS and the organisers of the Asian Marine Boating Awards are delighted to announce that a panel of judges has been appointed for the AMBA. These are drawn primarily from among the marine and boating media, with addition of a number of experienced marine professionals. Our judges are now going through the process of nominating candidates for awards in the various categories.
'We have avoided brokers and yacht club owners to avoid the risk of their opinion being coloured by the brands and companies that they represent. As last year, the recipient of every Asian Marine & Boating Award will be simply because they received the most votes from the judges,' said Judges' Coordinator, Alistair Skinner.
'Advertising with certain media, owning the biggest company, having friends in high places – none of these elements will guarantee stepping up on the stage to receive an Asian Marine & Boating Award. Awardees will just have to be, in the opinion of the judges – the best! We have assembled a panel that collectively has over 200 years of experience in the leisure boating world.'

Alistair Skinner, a member of the Yachting Journalists Association, said, 'As Judges’ Coordinator I strongly believe we have the most robust, honest and fair system possible for arriving at awards which as far as possible reflect excellence in the leisure boating world, with particular reference to Asia.'
