Young 470 crew to split up - 'looking to go and try new things'

The young 470 crew of Finn Drummond and Frankie Lardies have announced that they have decided to split up for the time being at least, to pursue other options and over the lack of clarity on the 2016 Olympic Events.
In their latest newsletter they write:
Hi Everyone,
Over the past few months we have been training and managed to make some big gains all round. We placed first at Sir Peter Blake regatta, fifth at the nationals and fourth at Sail Auckland. We made some big gains in many areas and were mixing it up with the best.
We have decided to stop sailing in the 470 together as we are both looking to go and try new things. We both felt like doing different things this year and having a break from sailing for a few months.
Finn is going to be doing some 49er and multihull before he leaves for an OE around SE Asia in March. He is also planning on getting back into sailing Olympic classes to campaign towards 2016. Once the decision on classes is made in May It will become clearer what class to sail in and what route to take.
This year Frankie is going to finish his study at Auckland University majoring in Geography. Also waiting for the May decision to make a decision on his Dinghy sailing career, he may begin to sail keelboats or return to Olympic campaigning.
