Jodie Bakewell-White was on hand to capture these images from the start of the two Man Around North Island race today. Held every two years the event is in its 11th edition and attracted a capacity field of 40 entries - three of which had to drop out due to last minute issues.
The four legged race sails from Auckland to Mongonui in the Far North, then to Wellington, then Napier and finally back to Auckland.
