Full Metal Jacket Racing report in the just concluded Hardy Cup:

FMJ Racing wins 2011 Hardy cup, 3-nil in the Finals against Evan Walker.

Today was the finals of the 2011 Hardy cup, as we had finished first in the two round robins we got the opportunity to choose our semi final opponent.

We chose Jordan Reece from Sydney as our opponent and after some good racing we prevailed 2-1. In the other semi finals Evan Walker fresh of his win at the Warren Jones was up against Adrian Short of New Zealand. Evan 'walked' through his semi finals 2-nil.

A week earlier Evan had knocked us out of the Warren Jones 2-nil in the semis, so we weren't going to let that happen again! The team were fired up and ready to go. We nailed every start in the finals and sailed smart in shifty conditions to win 3-nil.

We couldn't have won without the help and support of everyone involved with the team!

A special Thanks to Chris Meads, the RNZYS, AON NZ and Slam NZ
