Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club’s Class Regatta will take place this weekend at Port Shelter under the watchful eye of Race Officer Drew Taylor.
Fourty one-design boats are expected out on the water and will be divided into two divisions – Long Course and Short Course. Long Course boats will include the J/80s, Etchells and Sportsboats while the Short Course boats will include Dragons, Flying Fifteens, Impalas, Ruffians, Pandoras and Sonatas.
On the Saturday, two races will be held with the first race for the Long Course Division starting at 1400hrs and the Short Course Division will start at 1405hrs. Race two will be held as soon as possible after the first race.
Sunday will see three races held in quick succession with the Long Course Division kicking off at 1030hrs and the Short Course Division at 1035 hrs.
The prize giving will be held after racing on the Sunday at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club's Shelter Cove Clubhouse.
