'The Big Shout' at Bellerive Yacht Club

Bellerive Yacht Club - The largest fleet of keelboats to race on the River Derwent in many years is expected to line up for Bellerive Yacht Club’s weekly Lewis Marine/Nautilus Marine Twilight Race.
The race will take place this coming Wednesday – forcing prominent yachtsman and sponsor Hughie Lewis to dig deep for his ‘Big Shout.
If more than one hundred yachts turn out to race, Lewis, who has sponsored the Twilights for the past 22 years, has pledged to buy a feed of ‘fish ‘n chips’, plus a drink voucher at BYC, for every skipper and crew member – which could mean 500 sailors!
The start of the race could be spectacular with 115 boats already entered.
EVENT: Nautilus Marine Twilight Race, Bellerive Yacht Club
DATE & TIME: In five divisions from 5.45pm to 6.05pm, Wednesday, 9 February 2011
RACE VENUE: Race starts in Kangaroo Bay, off the club staring box in Victoria Esplanade.
