ISAF Nations Cup 2011 Notice of Race has been published on the ISAF website and the deadline for MNAs (Member National Authorities) to submit applications is fast approaching for Asia and Oceania.
The ISAF Nations Cup is a global competition to find the world's top match racing nations in both open and women's events and to develop match racing infrastructure around the world. The Nations Cup encompasses a series of eight Regional Finals from March to July 2011, from which the top team will qualify for the ISAF Nations Cup Grand Final, which will take place in Sheboygan, USA from 13-18 September 2011. The Notice of Race outlines the key details of the event, including the dates and venues, equipment and format of the Regional Finals and Grand Final.
The Notice of Race also includes the ISAF Member National Authority (MNA) allocations for the Regional Finals, ie which nations can compete in which Regional Final. MNAs wishing to compete should apply for entry using the form in the Notice of Race by 15 February 2011.
There have been zero applications to the Nations Cup Regional Final for either Asia or Oceania and we were hoping that you could contact some of your colleagues in your countries as well as the other countries invited to the RF in Bahrain ( AZE, BRN, CHN, FSM, HKG, INA, IND, KAZ, KGZ, KUW, LIB, MYA, OMA, PAK, PHI, PLE, QAT, SIN, SRI, THA, TPE, UAE ) and see if you could encourage them to submit applications for both women's and open spots before the deadline (15 February 2011).
Some of the other Asian countries are invited to the Regional Final for Oceania in Australia ( ASA, AUS, COK, FIJ, GUM, JPN, KOR, MAS, NZL, PNG, SAM, SOL, TAH, VAN, NCA) and your assistance in encouraging them would be helpful as well. The deadline is the same.
