The 2011 Marion Bermuda Cruising Yacht Race 'Safety at Sea' Symposium, as sanctioned by US Sailing, will be taking place on Saturday, March 19th, at the very comfortable Kresge Auditorium at MIT in Cambridge, MA.

The symposium will again be complemented by an exciting second day (Sunday, March 20) of practical hands-on training sessions, including: Medical Emergencies, Weather/Gulf Stream, CPR training and a special ISAF half day in-water personal survival course.

If you're planning on racing to Bermuda or Halifax this summer, or just want to make sure you're up to speed on safety procedures and techniques, you won't want to miss this educational weekend, where you'll find more enlightening content and demonstrations than ever before!

On Day 1, you'll hear from Top Notch expert speakers: John Rousmaniere, Stephen Thing, Frank Bohlen, Sheila McCurdy, Henry Marx and Mike Keyworth.

The ticket price for Day One is $130 ($5 discount for US Sailing members) and will include a continental breakfast, lunch and the certificate of attendance from US Sailing. Day Two courses range from $50-$125 per session. See Website for Safety At Sea Registration and More Information.

If you're travelling a distance and need a hotel room we have made special arrangements with Le Meridien, a very elegant hotel just a couple of blocks, walking distance, from MIT. Rates: $129/night - - when you book a room, make sure to let them know you're with the Marion Bermuda Safety at Sea Symposium group.
