Peak Sails launches its Australian operations
|
Peak Sails North America has opened its first international location, with the foundation of Peak sails Australia, characterised by a distinctly hands-on approach and commitment to value for money. Based in Ulladulla on the NSW south coast, at the helm of Peak Sails Australia is Director, Murray A Jefferys, overseeing all marketing and sales. A keen sailor who says he appreciated the excellent quality and customer service of the products he now represents downunder, Jefferys has a background in large scale retail. While not positioning himself as a sailing guru, he is adamant that customers seeking value for money and customer service that’s second to none should delve in to the brand. Peak Sails represents 'good value for money' says Jefferys, and that can be attributed to low overheads and keeping production small and low cost. 'But the materials are first grade Dacron, and the hardware is top standard,' he adds. Designed and made by engineering experts in Hong Kong, the Peak Sails designs have been around for five years, and the range runs to three types of sails – coastal cruising, bluewater cruising and tri-radial. 'It’s all very high tech. They are custom made and you receive CAD drawings to approve before you receive your order. That’s how I came I to the brand, from my own awesome experience,' says Jefferys. 'Peak sails Australia is not just a name on a website, it’s an office of Peak sails North America offering great deals on great sails and you will be dealing with an Australian in Australia,' he asserts. 'I believe in giving the customer all the information they require so they can make an informed decision on where they are going to spend their money. More importantly I am the boots on the ground in Australia to reassure customers that there is someone here to look after them.'
