Royal Brighton Yacht Club wishes to recruit a Training / Administration Officer. This is a hands-on full time role within the Sailing Office at a Yacht Club known for a comprehensive sailing program. In this role you will be instrumental in the organisation and promotion of sailing and racing programs, delivering a busy year round schedule of sailing and training events, with a key aim of developing member services and the existing and new crew pool. A varied and stimulating range of duties will see you administering and controlling training and coaching resources including race support vessels and volunteers, helping organise on-water events and on-shore sessions, acting as Training Committee secretary, and the development of training, participation and communication programs. You are an effective communicator and enjoy excellent relationships with colleagues at every level. You are empathetic and cooperative, and pride yourself on your organisational skills, methodical approach and practical nature. You are at your best in a busy and inclusive environment where you are recognised for your contribution and positive attitude. Reporting directly to the Sailing Manager, you will work in a team which includes Flag Officers, staff and volunteers, all playing important parts. Experience / qualifications in similar roles at a Yacht Club would be a plus, but not essential. Your regular workweek will be flexible, and will include weekend days during the sailing season. Time in lieu will be given for irregular hours. The Club offers a competitive salary package to attract the right energetic person for this role. Conditions of employment are excellent. To express your interest, please forward your CV along with a detailed cover letter (listing which of the criteria above you match) to Eric Wegman, General Manager at recruitment@rbyc.org.au.
