|
One day, it is to be hoped, China will work out that a bunch of yachties popping round the corner from Hong Kong to Longcheer for a bit of racing does not constitute a political, military or espionage threat to the state. Meanwhile, here are the latest immigration requirements for the China Cup: Apologies for keep sending emails to you. Please take THIS email as your guidance on the required entry-exit permits on the registration day. As mentioned previously, the sixth China Cup takes place right before the 18th China's communist party congress, hence the entry control into mainland China becomes much more strict recently. Please make sure to bring all the passage race crew's original copy of valid entry-exit permits on Oct 25 upon registration for on-site inspection, to secure a smooth immigration on Oct 26 in Shenzhen: Hong Kong crew: Home Return Permit + HKID Foreign crew: Passport with valid Chinese visa and APEC cards (if any) Taiwan crew: Taiwan compatriot entry permit Mainland China crew: Valid Exit-Entry Permit (EEP) to HK/Macau Any crew fail to submit their valid permits for on site inspection are not allowed to participate in the passage race.' So, no excuses for dodgy paperwork, ok?
